Fair Winds and Following Seas

A Message From Team Owner Jeff Pease

NCA and JCC age-group coach, Ching Tung, announced to her swimmers last night that she is leaving NCA at the end of this month, moving to Great Lakes, IL, as her husband starts a new assignment with the United States Navy.

I have enjoyed this past year tremendously watching Ching’s growth as an age-group coach and the positive impact she made on her NCA swimmers.  On behalf of my staff and all our NCA membership, I wish Ching the very best in her new journey.

Thank you NCA parents and swimmers for the faith you showed Coach Ching and the rest of my coaching staff. I will continue to be committed to find the strongest coaches for your children and build on the great legacy of NCA.

Please read Ching’s “Until the Next Hello” letter and wish her luck in her next adventure if you have the opportunity to see her.

Sincerely,

Jeff

Hi North Coast Family,

A month ago my husband received orders to relocate to Great Lakes, IL, to serve in the Navy. As many of you know, often the notice is given swiftly and leaves little time for families to adjust. My last day on deck will be Tuesday, March 28th, but I will take some time to travel up to Northern California and cheer on our Far Western qualifiers.

As a family, we are excited to continue our journey together, but it also marks the end of my own journey with NCA and San Diego. From the moment I was brought on board, I have been wonderfully welcomed, trusted, and appreciated by your incredible swimmers. Thank you for trusting me so faithfully when I took over from Coach Erin and continuing to do so through this last, very successful short-course season.

Thank you to Coaches Michael and Jeff who brought me on board and gave me the confidence and freedom to grow as a coach. Thank you to Coach Kristyn for being an indefatigable mentor and role model. Thank you to Coach Eva for being “the Coach Kristyn to my Coach Rob”. Thank you to Coach Rob for his free t-shirts and his unwavering enthusiasm.

Most of all, thank you to my kids who continue to challenge, surprise, impress, and love me every day. To you, I hope you will always set new goals, be a great teammate, and most importantly, believe in yourself.

Until the next hello,

Ching
